Friday, August 29-Monday September 1: Labor Day Spectacular at Wintergreen Resort. This year’s event includes an Arts & Crafts Show, chairlift rides, live music and much more. As soon as Wintergreen posts the actual schedule, it will be posted here.
Friday, August 29th: Campfire and Storytelling in Wintergreen Resort. Enjoy some s’mores and listen to stories and folklore. At Discovery Ridge at 8PM.
Saturday, August 30: Visit Kim Chappell at the Wintergreen Resort Premier Properties tent in the Arts & Crafts area behind the Mountain Inn in Wintergreen Resort. There will be give-a-ways, coupons, and prize drawings. The tent will be open from 10AM-5PM
Saturday, August 30: Mornings in the Mountains at Wintergreen Resort. Join the Wintergreen Nature Foundation for an interpretive hike along one of the many resort trails. (fee) Hike starts at the Nature Foundation at 10AM. Please register by 9:30AM.
Saturday, August 30: Visit the Nelson County Farmer’s Market in Nellysford. Music by Sarah Armstrong and Friends. Open 8AM-Noon.
Saturday, August 30: Harvest Open House at Afton Mountain Vineyards. Bring your own picnic and food is available to purchase. Enjoy live music from noon-6PM. Fee includes a wine glass. Call 540-456-8667.
Saturday, August 30: Kid’s Activities in Wintergreen Resort. Join us at the Kid’s Zone for Face Painting, Caricatures, a bubble station and sand art from 12 Noon-3PM
Saturday, August 30: Juliana Marques and Wave band plays live at the Wintergreen Blue Ridge Courtyard from 12 Noon-3PM.
Saturday, August 30: Wintergreen Performing Arts International Wine Festival. Taste wine from around the world in Wintergreen Resort. Tickets are $20. This event is open to adults only, but there are many activities for kids in the resort. The festival is from 11AM-7PM. Call 434-325-8292 for details.
Saturday, August 30: Endless Summer Nights at Lake Monocan with dance lessons, campfire, food and a movie under the starts. (entrance fee for those without WTG pass) Event is from 5PM-10PM at Lake Monocan in Stoney Creek at Wintergreen.
Saturday and Sunday: Romp, Stomp and Chomp at Wintergreen Winery. Bring a picnic and enjoy some wine and live music from 10AM-6PM. (fee) Call 434-361-2519
Sunday, August 31: Take a morning hike in Wintergreen Resort with the Wintergreen Nature Foundation. Hike starts at 10AM. (fee) Call 434-325-8169 for details. This is your chance to take a guided hike in the resort.
Sunday, August 31: Montebello Community Market Day. This is an annual event featuring arts and crafts, live music, a bake sale and a flea market. Children’s activities and home-cooked food available. Montebello is near the Blue Ridge Parkway.
Sunday, August 31: Music at Humpback Rocks Mountain Farm. Grassy Ridge with Pam Ward playing traditional songs of the mountains. 2PM-4PM. Blue Ridge Parkway milepost 5.8.
August 31: International Music Festival in Wintergreen Resort
All the live International Music is behind the Mountain Inn in the courtyard or the Evans Center
Noon-3PM: Ban Caribe with Latin and Caribbean music
5PM-7PM: Jose Cande with funky Latin music
7PM-9PM: Beliza Brazil with both Brazilian and American culture music
