Labor Day Celebration

The Annual Labor Day Guide

Wintergreen Resort and Nelson County will be celebrating the long Labor Day holiday weekend with Wine Festivals, an Arts & Crafts Show, Live Music, Farmer's Markets, Micro-Brew and many more activities.  The Annual Labor Day Weekend Guide is posted at www.ExperienceNelsonCounty.com.  Look for the banner on the home page.

This year's Labor Day holiday weekend also includes the popular International Wine Festival on Wintergreen mountain.  The annual festival is sponsored by Wintergreen Performing Arts.  There will be wine from around the world.  Your adult entrance fee of $20 includes 10 tastings and a wine glass.

Several local wineries will host Labor Day celebrations to kick-off their busy Fall wine season.  The complete winery schedule will be included in the Annual Labor Day Weekend Guide.  Wintergreen Winery will be hosting their annual Romp, Stomp and Chomp Harvest Celebration.

There will also be live music and kid's activities posted in this year's guide.

The Nelson Farmer's Market in Nellysford will be open with live music and live music will be at Humpback Rocks Mountain Farm on the Blue Ridge Parkway.

Kim Chappell will be hosting a Real Estate Tent on Saturday, behind the Mountain Inn on Wintergreen mountain.  Stop by the tent to learn about real estate in Wintergreen Resort, pick up some give-a-ways and register for prizes. 

There will also be Open House Guides for the weekend available in the tent as well as in the Mountain Inn.  Labor Day weekend is always a great time to take a tour of resort properties.

The full August Calendar can be found on the web site on the left navigation bar.  There are many events planned for August.  It is a jam-packed month in the Blue Ridge Mountains.  Live Music every weekend in Nelson County!

New Wintergreen Web Site Launches

 If you love Wintergreen Resort, check out Kim's new resort web site at www.ExperienceWintergreen.com  The web site has a large collection of resort photos, Summer and Winter activities, real estate and a free daily blog with stories about Wintergreen and Nelson County.

The web site also has a link to the new community in Wintergreen Resort, The Seasons.  The Seasons model opened over July 4th to a crowd and is open each weekend. 

The site has the popular Blog Archive.  The archive is a library of information about Nelson County and Wintergreen Resort.  Library topics including Wintergreen Tips, Kid's Activities, Hiking, the Wine & Beer Tour and the Restaurant Guide.

This Fall, the web site will have a guide to the Fall Foliage Season in Wintergreen Resort and we will start the count-down to Ski Season.  During Ski Season, the web site will have a daily ski and weather report.

Wintergreen Resort real estate is showcased on the new web site, including a Highlight of the Week on the front page.  You can browse through property listings that are updated each morning.

Of course, the legacy web site for Experience Nelson County will continue and will be linked to the new web site.

The Wintergreen Nature Foundation hosts guided hikes on Wintergreen trails on the weekends.  Stop by their nature center on Wintergreen Drive "on the mountain". 

There are hikes in Nelson County for all ability levels--from novice to the expert.
