Ski &
Ride Season Updates
For the first time in
years, Wintergreen Resort opened ski & ride
season over Thanksgiving weekend. The Dobie Ski
Area as well as The Plunge Tubing Park opened
earlier than expected and a lot of fun was had
by all.
I have added a new section
to the daily blog that will provide updates on
the Ski & Ride areas as well as The Plunge
Tubing Park. If you are visiting Wintergreen,

Ridgeley’s Fun Park:
The NEW kid’s snow park will open between
Christmas and New Years. Session tickets will
be sold for $10 each. The new park will be near
The Dome and will have a kid’s tubing area, snow
forts, etc.

Restaurants Near Resort
Devil’s Backbone Brewery:
It is official, the Devil’s Backbone Brewery is
open and serving some great beer. The new
restaurant and brewery is open in Beech Grove
seven days a week for lunch and dinner. If you
are coming in for the holidays, call ahead and
make a reservation. This has been a packed

Vitos Italian Restaurant
in Nellysford: When will this new
restaurant open with great pizza and a large
wine selection? As soon as we hear the latest,
it will be posted on the blog and in upcoming
newsletters. We cant wait for the opening of
this popular Nelson County restaurant in
Nellysford.
Pryor’s Porch Opening:
The popular Pryor’s Porch, near the Mountain
Inn, will open for ski season in mid-December.
This is a great place for sandwiches, pizza,
hamburgers, hot dogs, salads and “blue plate
specials”.

Valley Center at 6PM. Come for Christmas
Caroling.
December 7th:
Wintergreen Performing Arts presents a Christmas
Tea. Visit a historic farmhouse decorated for
the holidays. Open house 1PM-5PM at the Gibb’s
home in Stoney Creek.

celebrating the holiday season from December 20th-31st
with many activities. The resort is offering

This year, there are
several activities for New Year’s Eve. This
year, you can leave your suit and tie at home
and dance the night away.
The Ballroom Dance Party
Leave your suit and tie at home and join us for
an after dinner party! The unique sounds of the
Deanie Blues Band will entertain you with
soulful blues to R&B. Their music is "lean back
in your chair and groove" and "jump on the floor
and dance." Enjoy a complimentary cocktail,
party favors, a tempting dessert buffet and
coffee bar. In addition, a cash bar is offered.
Of course we’ll celebrate in style with a
champagne toast at midnight. Doors open at 8
