What’s Happening in Wintergreen Resort and Nelson County

Welcome to February 2009.  There’s a lot going on in February across Nelson County and Wintergreen Resort.

Ski & Ride Season in WTG:  Ski & Ride season has been fantastic this year.  I keep hearing, “Some of the best skiing in years”.  The resort has been crowded with happy guests.  100% of the terrain is open plus The Plunge Tubing Park and Ridgely’s Fun Park.  With a 60 inch base, we will be skiing and riding well into March.

Discount Wintergreen Tickets & Coupons

Q:  Do you have any Wintergreen coupons or where can I get discounted lift tix?

A:  I get this question often.  So, I did some research and found the place where anyone can get coupons and discounts on lift tickets.

Go to the resort web site at www.WintergreenResort.com and sign up for the NEW e-club.  Once you sign up, you will automatically receive great coupons and discounts.  The current discount is $10 off a lift ticket.  What a great deal!  You will continue to receive coupons from the resort as they offer new promos. 

If you were already receiving a newsletter from the resort, sign up for this new program anyway.  It’s the only way to keep receiving those coupons.

Feb 7:  First Saturday Community Market at the Rockfish Valley Community Center 9AM-Noon.  Shop for local produce, meats, cheese, baked goods, arts and crafts.  Shop Local!

Feb 6-8:  Visit Wintergreen for WinterFest Weekend.  Its carnival weekend including your favorite carnival food, special ski/ride competitions and fun on the slopes

Feb 13-16:  President’s Day Weekend and Valentines Day

Wineries hosting Valentines Events:  Veritas, Hill Top Berry Farm & Winery, Cardinal Point Vineyard & Winery and Wintergreen Winery.  I will be posting additional information before the holiday

Feb 14:  Visit The Seasons at Wintergreen for Nelson County wine and chocolate from 3PM-6PM

A:  We are already planning Spring blog posts.  We will be taking a week-long drive along the entire Blue Ridge Parkway, working on the goal of hiking every Nelson County trail, biking, playing tennis and golf and enjoying activities with friends and family.  Keep reading the blog after ski season.
