Thanksgiving
in Wintergreen Resort and Nelson County
Thanksgiving is the most
popular family holiday in Wintergreen Resort.
Every year, the long weekend is the busiest of
the year. If you don’t already have a
reservation, make the calls today to book
lodging and dining.
The Copper Mine restaurant
on Wintergreen mountain has been hosting the
annual Thanksgiving buffet for years. It is one
of the most popular buffets of the year. This
Thanksgiving, buffets will also be served at the
Devil’s Grill on the mountain and at the Stoney
Creek Grill in the valley. Here is just a taste
of the menu across Wintergreen:
Copper Mine: Peel &
Eat Shrimp, Clams, Oysters, Roasted Vegetables,
Antipasta, Imported Cheese, Roasted Turkey, Pork
Loin, Pies, Cakes and Apple Crisp. Call

Devil’s Grill:
Salad Bar, Roasted Turkey, Carved Ham with
Champagne Mustard, Herb Stuffing, Mashed
Potatoes, Fresh Vegetables, Assorted Pies,
Pumpkin Bread Pudding, White Chocolate Mousse.

Stoney Creek Grill:
Serving a Price Fixed Menu with the following:
Baked Brie, Salad Bar, Roasted Turkey or Prime
Rib or Salmon. They will also have vegetable
lasagna as a choice. Desserts will include

Annual
Thanksgiving Holiday Party
Please stop by the annual
Wintergreen Resort Premier Properties holiday
party on November 28th, 5PM-7PM in
the Mountain Inn at Wintergreen Resort. There
will be food and beverage for the whole family
in the Grist Mill. Stop by and say, “hello” and
have some holiday cheer.
New Restaurants
in Nelson County
Nellysford and Beech Grove
will each be celebrating the opening of a new
restaurant in November. Both hope to be open in
time for Ski & Ride Season. So, if you are
looking for a new restaurant choice near
Wintergreen Resort, check out these new
restaurants.
Vitos Italian
Restaurant will open in Nellysford in
November. Vitos has been a popular restaurant
in Nelson County for years with their Lovingston
restaurant. The menu at the new location will
be similar to the original menu, with a few new
additions. Everyone loves their Italian
dishes and pizza. The new restaurant will have
a wine cellar that can hold up to 600 bottles of
wine.
The Devil’s Backbone
Brewery is also scheduled to open in
Beech Grove in mid- November. This will be the
second micro-brewery to open in Nelson County.
The restaurant will be open with a full menu for
lunch and dinner, seven days a week. They will
be brewing their own beer and also serving some
popular Virginia micro-beer. Here’s a list of

Hot News: Yes, the Devil’s Backbone will

08/09 Including Discounts
Ski & Ride Season 08/09 is
just right around the corner. The scheduled
opening day is December 12th, but
early cold weather could bring that date into
November. The Farmer’s Almanac is predicting a
very cold and snowy winter in the North East.
The almanac is even calling for some snow in the
mid-Atlantic states in mid November. Keep an
eye on my daily blog for all of the latest
news.
